Aerial Landscapes, 2001-2022

The development of the Aerial Landscapes came from the conditioning of looking closely at what the Bloom shapes made when cut up or focused in upon. At first they were imagined places, illustrating depths of water and land with color. Recently I’ve used real places to create the patterns - by googling Narragansett bay or the Gowanus canal. The series continue to inform each other in their separate evolutions.
